• Certificate of Merit for Testicular Cancer: What Every Man Should Know, a feature report stressing the importance of regular testicular self-examination.

• Certificate of Merit for Laparoscopy Revisited, a feature report on some controversial applications of this surgical technique.

• Certificate of Merit for A Question of Life or Death, a documentary about the agonizing wait for donor organs, and strategies to increase organ donation.

1993 COLUMBUS INTERNATIONAL FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL
• Bronze Plaque (2nd Prize) for A Tragedy of Errors, an investigative documentary about the Quebec Public Curator’s tragic bungling of an elderly woman’s case. This report prompted a provincial government investigation.

• Honourable Mention for Recipe for Survival, a documentary about alternative treatments for AIDS.

• Honourable Mention for Job for Life, a feature report on a scientist with cystic fibrosis, racing against time to find a cure for her own disease.
